Angel Domínguez was born in the Basque Country in 1953. He is an illustrator of both wildlife and children´s books.
He enjoy doing children´s books specially. And all about books is their life, not only doing them, but collecting, specially the Arthur Rackham´s. Then, dealing with other illustrators, writers, publishers, they bec ome friends quickly.
Examples of his work are "Alice´s Adventures in Wonderland" published in New York (a run of 25.000 copies) "The Twelve Days of Christmas" or "The King´s Gift", this last a book was commissioned by the Queen Rania of Jordan.
His editor Michael O´Mara Books has published "Diary of a Victorian Mouse", "Classic Animal Stories", "My Own Book of Animal Stories" and "The King´s Gift".
Published with Victor Gollancz, "The Twelve Days of Christmas", which was in the top ten list of Christmas.
With the Japanese publisher Shogakukan, The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde.
With the American publisher Crossway, Journey to Freedom.
With the Spanish publisher Juventud, many books as "Just to Stories" by Rudyard Kipling, "The Arabian Nights", two books on "Greek Mitology". etc...
With the Spanish publisher Vicens Vives, "Anaconda and Others Tales" by Horacio Quiroga.
With the American "Duirwaigh Gallery" has published the book "Knock at the Door" and The calendar Rainn devoted to the singer "Tory Amos".
Also has published in England a set or 6 stamps: "Bahamas Pirates of the Bahamas", and an article with two illustrations to "The Compleat Angler" by Isaac Walton in the magazine "The Illustrated London News";
a collection of "Christmas Cards" to Oakwood, and two posters to "Tupertoys".
There is stationery from his books: mugs, tea pots, cups of tea, posters, puzzles, cards, postcard, magnets, mirrors.....
